Philadelphia

I have been in Pennsylvania for almost a month and finally had a chance to see Philadelphia.

Viejo San Juan

As I prepare for my return to the United States Mainland (Philadelphia), I had to visit Old San Juan to get a more complete view of the old city. I was able to see the Capilla del Cristo, Castillo San Felipe del Morro (“El Morro”), Castillo San Cristobal, Cementerio Maria Magdalena del Pazzis, and El Forteleza.

Cordado Beach, San Juan, Puerto Rico

One of the good things about being here is  not everything costs money (though the sun may charge me an ‘overdraft’ fee tomorrow or the next day!). I spent most of the day at the beach, swimming in the ocean and watching crabs!

PA Countryside

Over a couple of days, sunrise and sunset, I was able to take some shots around the Allegheny Mountains and the Pocono Mountains.

Upstate New York

I was surprised that there was no indication that you left PA or entered New York State. I was shooting photos at a rest stop and noticed as I was leaving the rest stop that it said New York!

Pittsburg

Well, rolled through Pittsburg again on the 22nd and 24th. I did not get lost this time around, thank goodness for GPS!

Now for the East Coast!

It has been a long time since I was in Pennsylvania and now I am back with a vengeance! Beginning with Harrisburg, I will travel from Erie to Pittsburg (where I got terribly lost many years ago!) and back to Philadelphia. I am taking pictures as I go and hope to return to actually share these sites with Linda. Until then, these pictures will have to do.

I was able to go to an amazing Cathedral today, St. Patrick’s in Harrisburg.
