Linda, Rainee, Chloe, Alec and Brody went to Claremore on Sat for the Gatesway Balloon Festival. Though, initially we were disappointed to find out that the balloons had left to points South for balloon races and would not return until the evening, the kids still had a great time with face painting (or arm painting for Rainee’s TARDIS), bouncing on the inflatables, snow cones, etc. We saw horse races and enjoyed the last day of summer.
One of the good things about being here is not everything costs money (though the sun may charge me an ‘overdraft’ fee tomorrow or the next day!). I spent most of the day at the beach, swimming in the ocean and watching crabs!
It has been a long time since I was in Pennsylvania and now I am back with a vengeance! Beginning with Harrisburg, I will travel from Erie to Pittsburg (where I got terribly lost many years ago!) and back to Philadelphia. I am taking pictures as I go and hope to return to actually share these sites with Linda. Until then, these pictures will have to do.
I was able to go to an amazing Cathedral today, St. Patrick’s in Harrisburg.
